Snoopy's opinion of WoodstockEdit
Woodstock first appeared when a mother bird built a nest on Snoopy's stomach. There were two birds in it, but the mom never came back, leaving Snoopy the responsibility of raising them himself. At first Snoopy did not want to raise them. One day he got so fed up with the two birds that he threw them out into the world. Snoopy's first thought was that he was glad to be unburdened of the responsobility. Then he became upset when one of the two birds returned. Snoopy decided to raise that one, and he became very close to it. Snoopy taught the bird how to do many things, including how to fly, although that was not very succsessful. That bird grew up to be Woodstock.
In Woodstock's early years (before he was even named) Snoopy often seemed very annoyed at him. Snoopy often called Woodstock a "stupid bird" and hated his poor flying skills.
As the years went on, Snoopy became much better friends with Woodstock, who eventually became Snoopy's sidekick. Woodstock appeared in many of Snoopy's fantasies, and together they became a formidable team. Snoopy even came to like Woodstock's topsy-turvy flying.
Snoopy eventually liked Woodstock so much, he was able to understand Woodstock's speech, which the reader sees as I ! and ?. Snoopy has even done many crazy things for Woodstock. He went helped Woodstock when Woodstock said he saw a strange creature in is nest, (It turned out to be an egg), and he saved Woodstock, from what he thought was the cat next door (It turned out to be a yellow glove). Snoopy has even walked Woodstock south for the winter.
Woodstock's opinion of SnoopyEdit
Woodstock does not talk, therefore it is hard to know exactly how he feels about Snoopy. From his behavior, Woodstock appears to think of Snoopy as a great and trustworthy friend. Woodstock likes to sit on Snoopy's stomach when he sleeps.
Whenever Woodstock has a problem, he immediately goes to Snoopy for help. Even though the reader is unable to understand what Woodstock is saying, it is usually apparent that he says kind things to Snoopy, based on Snoopy's reactions. Although Snoopy does not like it when Woodstock bosses him around - and Woodstock gets offended very easily when Snoopy yells at him - Woodstock will always return to Snoopy just to forgive him.
