This Halloween strip from October 31, 1957 contains some unidentifiable ghosts. The storyline leading up to it features Charlie Brown and Linus and Lucy van Pelt, so they are likely the punchline but who are the two other ghosts?

19521026 — An earlier Halloween strip from October 26, 1952 is a little easier to determine since there were so few characters introduced by that time and ghosts are wearing flats, like Patty and Violet Gray do. Snoopy is recognizable anywhere.

Strips set at Peppermint Patty's school, such as this December 1970 storyline, frequently have one-off, unnamed background characters.

April 19, 1953: in the main Sunday title panel, two unnamed boys appear in the background; in the last panel of the middle tier, there is one unnamed boy who may be one of those from the title panel, or new, plus a definite new one; in the middle panel of the bottom tier is yet another unnamed boy; these are the first such characters to appear in the strip.
